Whatever your metal engineering, design and manufacturing requirements are, we'll provide the solution. We are professional problem solvers when it comes to making creative custom metal products and components, from small bracketry, boxes, housings, containers, architectural features, structural steelwork and steel sculptures.

The KAM Engineering's workshop is equipped with advanced metal fabricating technology, software, machinery and laser cutting, operated by highly experienced and qualified staff. We also have access to a large contingent of sub-contractors so we are able to offer a product manufacturing service from concept to final finish, including powder coating, plating, anodising, hot dip galvanising polishing and various others.

KAM Engineering is willing to take on any engineering task, including assisting clients in finding cost-effective customised solutions.
Services
KAM Engineering (the acronym stands for Knee Agricultural Machinery) was founded by John Knee in 1958, originally as an importer of agricultural machinery.
Since 1964 a manufacturer of agricultural machinery the company, has evolved into a subcontract fabrication facility and manufacturer of engineered parts and components for a vast array of industrial applications.
KAM Engineering serves clients in all industrial sectors both locally in west Wiltshire, nationally and even internationally, undertaking mainly volume production projects - although we do take on small, one-off jobs by special request.
Our complete "concept to completion" metal fabrication service saves our clients valuable time and development costs.
We offer short lead times, quick quotations and will manage the production process of any size project from design and prototype through to fabrication and final fit and finish.
Our skilled workforce has experience in - and are able to work with - most materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous metal, machined components and sections.
We have also manufactured plastic components rubber and wooden components.
KAM Engineering bought its first laser cutter in 2006 to augment our existing plasma cutter for metal profiling.
Laser cutting is our most frequently used profile cutter, because it offers excellent cut edge quality, short lead times and versatility.
We are able to cut thicknesses from 0.5mm up to 20mm.
When a profiling thicker mild steel the most cost-effective option is often to employ a high definition plasma cutting system to slice through the metal.
We utilise the UK-manufactured Esprit "Hy-Def" Plasma CNC Profile Cutter for the profiling applications which demand this type of technology.
KAM Engineering have the knowledge, experience and equipment required to design, form and fabricate durable, top-quality metal parts, components and other complex shapes for numerous applications.
We serve industries in the automotive, medical, construction, transport, leisure and oil & gas sectors, to name but a few.
We work sheet metal using various best practice processes, techniques and appropriate machinery to form metal into the specific shapes.
Processes such as bending, punching, machining, grinding and many other metal working techniques are all in the remit of our capabilities.
KAM Engineering is equipped to take on high volume welding contracts, having six welding bays with full facilities for MIG or TIG welding, with an efficient and fast robotic arm.
Welding is a crucial part of the production phase which requires expert knowledge and judgment when it comes to technique and choosing the appropriate technological process for a particular job and particular materials.
Our experienced welders are able to perform both MIG and TIG welding as part of the production process.
