CIRC Manufacturing is a turned parts shop, focused on medium to high volume production. We operate from a clean and organised 2200 sq ft premises situated in Westbury, Wiltshire. Over the years we have adapted to meet the needs of our clients and we continually make investments in equipment and training to enhance our capabilities. We can offer our manufacturing services while maintaining the cleanliness of the environment in which we work, which is essential for this type of work.
It is vital for us to determine the flow a job will take through our Westbury engineering shop and that we always try to optimise that path to retain a lean and competitive edge. We focus on our strengths and continue to collect vast amounts of data for all our processes, which enable us to complete on time and within tolerance. We separate ourselves from other machine-only shops by offering sub assembly and precision rotary welding of machined components.
From CAD/CAM design and programming to machining and assembly, our diverse capabilities allow us to offer a complete manufacturing package to suit the needs of a variety of work and industries.

Services
Our CNC machine shop is well equipped to handle the manufacture of precision turned and milled components.
We utilise 5 axis CNC positional milling which enables us to machine 5 sides of a component in 1 single set up.
This gives us a competitive edge when tackling components with tight feature relationships, that would otherwise be difficult if the part needed to be moved to another machine or re orientated by the operator.
The machines also utilise touch probes for quick and accurate setting of work coordinate offsets and they also use on board tool length pre setters.

CIRC Manufacturing chooses to compete in the field of small diameter component manufacture.
We utilise the proven, swiss sliding head platform from Citizen Machinery.
Swiss style turning was designed for the machining of long slender workpieces, which would be a struggle or even impossible to produce with conventional machine tools.
This is achieved by feeding the bar stock through a guide bushing device, which supports the material, as the tools engage the cut.
Over the years, these machines have progressed to offer much more than just turning long slender components.

CAD, Computer Aided Design software, is at the start of the projects we work on.
From here we can accept client CAD files or we can produce models from supplied drawings.
If you wish to discuss your requirements with us, we can help you to develop the part from the beginning.
We can prove the fitment of all parts of an assembly before a first off or an initial proof of concept is produced.
A test rig can also focus on the fit and function of specific mechanisms and features.
These can be to test the size, style, look and feel of a component.

We perform manual and automated rotary welding operations for our machined components.
At Circ, we pride ourselves on our welding ability and knowledge of the materials being joined and have developed orbital welding machines in house, which enable us to complete circumferential welds on cylindrical parts and assemblies in the vertical or horizontal plane.
We can work with any type of material and specialise in Stainless steel and Aluminium to provide custom welding in Westbury.
The plasma welding process has been used with great effect on the welding lathe when tackling large repetitive runs, by being able to complete fast cycle times and even reducing the amount of multiple passes needed for heavy gauge parts, by utilising a keyhole effect.

At Circ we found our inspiration for creating a fine writing instrument from our experience and knowledge in the fields of precision machining and the processing of exotic super alloys.
We wanted to create something which, while technically challenging to produce, offers an elegantly simple instrument with a lifetime of useful enjoyment.
The clipless, capped design is a perfectly balanced, uninterrupted cylinder, with a gentle taper along its barrel, much like that of an artist's paint brush.
The flawless lines and geometries created in 3D CAD, have been brought to life in exquisite detail.
