Detail Design Engineering
Take a peek inside our world, where quality, innovation and reliability is the cornerstone of everything we do. Our customers are diverse and dynamic, we recognise this and take the time to understand and tailor our approach to match our customers objectives, and make buildings work for them. We work directly with customers from a wide range of industry sectors to keep buildings efficient and comfortable.

DDE provide full turnkey installations of new automated control systems, from traditional HVAC automation to the latest feature rich smart building solutions. Our commitment to our customers is to provide solutions where reliability and value are paramount. Where there was once focus on HVAC assets alone, we are now able to connect building occupants, business processes and a range of assets to optimise occupant comfort, system maintenance and of course energy consumption.

The products we use, the people we work with and the service we provide is always focussed on one thing - the customer.
Services
Beginning in 1991, DDE was formed in Manchester by three BMS leading engineers from Trend Controls contracting team.
Thirty years ago, the demand for our unique engineering expertise was increasing with the popularity of new generation of BMS.
This computer processor technology was identified as a way to keep buildings comfortable and efficient, and was being specified to replace conventional controls systems in the UK.
Simon, Dave and Jon, the three owners of DDE, who remain within the business to this day, have developed the company and its employees and systems to retain the whole system focus, to ensure quality and reliability for customers new and old.
Our project team provides developers, clients, services consultants, contractors, and end users with in-house experience and capability to deliver solutions, with our input valued at all stages of the project lifecycle.
We ensure effective transition of projects from the drawing board, through to final completion.
We acknowledge the challenges successful projects will face, mitigating and overcoming these whether technical or commercial in nature.
We are successful by installing state of the art, reliable control systems, proven methodologies and quality management procedures which are set to the highest standards to ensure project objectives are met without compromise.
To ensure the best performance from a BEMS, as well as the plant and equipment it controls, it is essential to maintain the BEMS and it components.
BEMS maintenance is often undertaken on a reactive basis, energy consumption goes unchecked, comfort conditions can deteriorate, and problems are only dealt with when they become serious.
Low cost maintenance doesn't mean best value.
Reduced energy costs through optimisation of plant efficiency minimising unnecessary use of energy, raising standards of operation and maintenance, providing data for effective monitoring and targeting and to allow identification of other cost saving measures, and faster detection of faulty and wasteful processes.
The Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment challenges business, organisations, cities and regions to reach net zero carbon in operation for all assets under their direct control by 2030, and to advocate for all buildings to be net zero carbon in operation by 2050.
Our Vision is to provide building owners and occupiers with the control solutions for the safe, clean comfortable us of buildings, whilst using less energy and reducing CO2 emissions.
Many buildings and BEMS do not operate as designed and therefore operate in ways that use more energy than is required.
Our systems integrate all building assets to optimise performance, provide insights and reduce maintenance.
Where building services were once fragmented, the acceleration in connected devices in the Internet of Things gives power the power back to building owners and occupants.
Occupants environments can be controlled intuitively, assets perform efficiently and data from the assets can be used to drive performance and maintenance.
Where multiple devices, platforms and processes were the norm, todays buildings can benefit from a whole system view across HVAC, Lighting, Access, Wayfinding, Space Utilisation, People Movement and Asset Management.
