Mineral Engineering Processes Ltd. (MEP) established in 1984, specialises in the mineral process engineering and provides sales and service for specialist products such as Thickener and Clarifiers, Hydrosizers, Hydrocyclones and other allied equipment as required. The MEP TBS Hydrosizer is a hindered settling classifier, using upward current water and mineral to create a column of teeter in the vessel.

The MEP Hydrocyclone uses centrifugal force to separate solids from liquid or to classify coarser or greater mass solids from finer or lesser mass solids. MEP are the sole UK agent to supply and maintain the Pozzato range of Log Washers, Dewatering and Vibraiting Screens and Crushers. An MEP Thickener is a machine designed to receive effluent water containing solids resulting from a mineral process operation and in conjunction with chemical flocculants, concentrates the dilute pulp into a thicker pulp.

The MEP FCTP comprises seven modules of rigid compact design, fitted with proven equipment which can be easily transported to site and rapidly erected.
Services
Mineral Engineering Processes (MEP) first incorporated in 1983 as a part of the R.O.
Stokes group has been operating in its current format since 2000 where MEP took over the sales and service of the Stokes range of specialist products.
In that time, MEP have built a good customer base supplying equipment around the world, primarily in the UK to the mining and quarrying sectors.
MEP specialise in mineral process engineering providing sales and service for our specialist range of proprietary equipment including Hydrosizers, Thickeners / Clarifiers, Hydrocyclones and other allied equipment.
We use our experience in coal preparation to design and produce the most efficient equipment and plant.
Our proven equipment has time and again come out on top.
We use our experience in metal washing to design and produce the most efficient equipment and plant.
To ensure that all MEP plants and machines have the best possible performance and life span we offer comprehensive solutions for spare parts and servicing for all customers.
We supply purpose-built sand and gravel plants to suit the customers' requirements.
We can also supply compact sand plants in capacities from 10 to 250 t/h if the application requires.
Our plants are designed to maximise the quality and quantity of the product and minimise waste.
Produce the required grades of sand without producing large quantities of waste or filling lagoons.
Incorporate our proprietary tanks, sumps, cyclones, Hydrosizers, thickeners together with pumps and screens with a proven track record.
The quantity of water used is regulated to support a required size of particle in suspension; thus creating a "column of teeter" within each cell enabling it to produce a number of discrete products of close graded particles.
A supply of upward current water at constant volume and pressure is essential for the successful operation of the Multi-Spigot Hydrosizer.
It is preferable to have a head tank providing water to a common distribution pipe.
Separate branches provide the upward current water to each cell, individually controlled by a valve in conjunction with a flow meter.
MEP Cyclones are often fitted to radial manifolds which are designed to evenly distribute the feed and collect the overflow and underflow streams from the cyclones.
Cyclone manifolds or clusters are used when processing high volumes and finer cut sizes are required.
They are used to recover solids down to 35 microns and save material reporting to lagoons.
Radial manifolds include a feed distributor, overflow and underflow collection launders and a support structure.
The feed distributor, cover plate, overflow and underflow collection launders are protected with the same abrasion resistant lining as that used on the cyclones.
