Demesne Contracts were initially involved with Montalto Estate on creating the car park, in preparation for the opening to the public.
This involved a range of tasks from excavation, drainage, kerbing, and preparation works for surfacing.
As the relationship progressed we were awarded the contract to construct 3km of trails and paths and associated works throughout the Estate.
We created the paths, with careful planning and a responsible approach to keep minimise the disruption to the ecosystem within the forest.

This scheme awarded by transport NI is the largest BRT scheme to date, the purpose of which was to introduce bus lanes along the Upper Newtownards Road between Knock junction and Dunlady Road, linking the wider East Belfast area to the City Centre providing better connectivity and reducing car use to and from the city centre.
