The company was founded in 1947 by the late Norman Smith Richardson, a highly respected engineer of his time, in partnership with his brother and father who did the book-keeping side of the business.
Norman's two sons, Alan and Ian joined the company in the 60s and Ian's son, Mark, came on board in the early 90s.
We have been a limited company since 2007 with directors Ian and Mark at the helm supported by a small but dedicated team of engineers in the factory, and Hazel in the office.
