West Engineering and Spiral Tube Limited is a long-established Ipswich company as well as one of the region's leading manufacturers of spiral ductwork and fittings. Managing Director of West Engineering, Dale Smith, purchased all the company's shares, and subsequently moved the business to a new 26,000 square foot premises on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate in 2003.
Dale and his team of 30 personnel - the majority of them skilled engineers - have achieved an impressive growth in turnover over the last year. To increase production quality, Dale assisted the company to buy new plasma cutting equipment, as well as two new perforating machines to keep up with the demand for pipes for the oil industry and agricultural markets.
To ensure business continuity, Dale assisted the company by buying the building which the company previously occupied on a lease hold basis.

We supply the 150mm & 220mm as straight seam tube.
All other sizes are manufactured here onsite using the same process as the helix weld tube.
150mm Dia up to 323mm Dia can be fully crimped and swaged up to a maximum length of 6mtr long.
Any size above we offer a welded flat plate and collar.
We can offer piling starters from sizes 6 (150mm) up to 900mm.
All starters from 150mm up to 323mm Dia come fully swaged with crimped ends, any size above we offer a welded flat plate and collar.

Working hours are usually within office opening hours - 7.50am to 4.20pm but occasionally our delivery's will require overtime so may be an early start or late finish at times.
