Established as Smart Turn Precision Engineering in 1992 from a starter unit and a single CNC centre lathe. Initially producing turned components to a Formula One customer, the company grew rapidly supplying turned and milled components to Formula One, hydraulic and laser industries. The company relocated to larger premises and again in 2005 bought the freehold of a commercial unit in Crick, Northamptonshire, Junction 18 M1.
Within the past 2 years, these premises have been extended by a further 5,000 sq ft and now boast additional office, reception, canteen and workshop area. Manufacture of prototype, batch and volume components, machining a wide range of materials from stainless steel to nickel based alloys. We can provide a fully comprehensive machining service, including CNC milling, CNC turning, sliding head and multi spindle machining.
With a range of plant totalling in excess of 50 machines, including horizontal, vertical 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centres, multi axis and 2 axis lathes, the company is well placed to meet the challenges and expectations that our customers demand.
