Direct Engineering provides engineering and site services to a wide range of sectors throughout the UK and Europe. The company was established in 1997 and our excellent dedicated team have over 40 years of experience in all aspects of engineering services. Direct Engineering are totally focussed on their commitment to provide excellent customer service.

Our continued investment into new technology and employee training have seen the company grow from strength to strength enabling us to streamline the business into five divisions to offer a one stop shop facility to all our Customers. We offer a full in house service specialising in Stainless Steel, Aluminium & Mild Steel Fabrications, CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Work, Spiral Welding, Laser Cutting and Pipework Installation.

Established in 1997, Direct Engineering & Site Services Ltd have evolved into one of the most versatile engineering companies in Derbyshire.
Based in Chesterfield, our company is predominantly made up of four divisions within our 20,000 sq.
As a family business, Direct Engineering has continued over the years to re-invest in both the workforce and the latest technology to not only remain competitive but to also ensure that our customers receive the very best in service and quality.
What started as a small fabrication shop some 20 years ago, the company has focused its efforts on bringing all the services in house to offer Laser Cutting, CNC Turning & Milling, Steel Fabrication, Sheet Metal & Stainless Steel Fabrications, CNC Pressing, Electronics Assembly and Inspection all under one roof.
The multi skilled and highly experienced team can fabricate and weld any project in Mild Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Copper Nickel, Aluminium Bronze, Titanium, Hastalloy and Chrome-Moly using MIG/MAG, TIG and Stick Welding processes.
As a company, Direct Engineering regularly maintain and update our welders qualifications to the latest standards and revisions to ensure we are offering a total quality service to our customers.
As a company we pride ourselves on working closely with our customers in order to accurately meet their requirements.
One of our fastest growing in house services is spiral welding, this service focuses on the repair and recovery of damaged shafts and motor pumps of varying sizes, by completing this process we improve the mechanical strength of the components.
Chemical analysis of the parent metal is carried out and matched specifically to the metal deposited.
We take pride in our spiral welding services and guarentee that repaired parts will be finished to fine tolerances.
The rapidly expanding process enables companies to continue to run machinery and equipment with potentially expired motors or shafts at full working capacity.
Direct Engineering & Site Services Ltd have invested in some of the latest machinery and equipment with an extensive range of CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Manual Turning/Milling and Inspection equipment.
Our reputation as a complete sub-contract machine shop is built on our years of experience supplying very fine tolerance machined components to as low as 0.01mm.
Direct Engineering's machinists are extremely knowledgeable and have undergone professional training on all machines to maximise the productivity and quality of all our products.
Our CNC Lathes have a capacity of up to 3000mm long and 900mm diameter and incorporate 'Y' Axis driven tooling which allows for milling, drilling and tapping operations to the face and outside diameters of components without any secondary operations on other machines or additional parts handling.
Our capacity list also incorporates two bar feeding lathes which allow for maximum throughput, quality and efficiency.
