Services
Currock Engineering has always utilised the latest in computer technology and in the area of manufacturing this has seen the greatest rewards.
Our CNC programming department is equipped to receive manufacturing data directly from our clients' Computer Aided Design systems which not only significantly speeds up the whole manufacturing process but also greatly reduces any incidence of human error.
Once completed these CNC programmes are stored within our own computer network for retrieval by the machine tools via an electronic interface.

We are specialists in CNC milling and have a comprehensive range of both horizontal and vertical machining centres equipped to the highest specifications.
Their features include high accuracy linear scales, high speed or high torque spindles, axis travel up to 1.8 metres, full 5 axis contouring and electronic spindle probing.

Our CNC turning facilities have advanced in technology to the point that our latest machines can no longer be considered CNC Lathes.
Today our Integrex machining centres offer the ultimate in universal machining and multi tasking.
Turning, milling, multi-axis contouring, surface machining and more can all be achieved in one setting.

For the ultimate in precision manufacturing our surface and cylindrical grinding facilities have been enhanced by the latest CNC technology.
Offering tight tolerances and fine surface finishes plus the capability to contour grind complex forms or profiles we can fulfil the most demanding of design specifications.
Our current capacities are cylindrical grinding up to 300mm diameter by 550mm long and surface grinding up to a 500mm cube.

After experiencing continual problems with the quality and service of outsourced paint finishing operations in 2003 we installed our own purpose built painting facility.
This incorporates two adjacent spray compartments 4.5 metres by 5 metres which can, if required, be joined to give one large compartment of 4.5 metres by 10 metres.
Finishing can be undertaken in Polyurethane, Epoxy, Acrylic and water based paints to all aerospace and defence specifications.
After painting, items can be stoved within the spray booths up to 90 degrees centigrade or, if higher temperatures are required, up to 350 degrees in a separate oven.
