The company, John Tinham Motor Engineer, was created and is run by John himself. He started in the motor trade in 1978, working for Tricentrol Trucks where he completed his apprenticeship on heavy and light commercial vehicles. He was then employed at the local Ford Main dealers for 10 years, where he worked on both trucks and cars before starting his own business in 1988.
For the first few years of the business John offered a mobile service to his customers. In 1997 John moved into his current premises and became a static workshop based operation. By moving into premises, John has been able to offer his customers a more complete service, including on-site MOTs, wheel alignments, air conditioning and much more.
