Services
Force Engineering was founded in 1979 to develop and manufacture custom Linear Induction Motors (LIM) and other electro-magnetic and permanent magnet solutions.
The philosophy of the company, from its foundation to the present day, is to provide solutions tailored to the individual requirements of each customer and each application.
Bespoke design and manufacture means the optimal solution for every project, with motors and control system working to meet the requirements.
Hundreds of designs have been turned into practical industrial applications, and more than 30,000 LIMs, induction heaters, permanent magnet brakes and other electro-magnetic products have been built with appropriate control equipment and software.
Offering precision and accuracy of controlled acceleration and deceleration at exceptional rates with efficiency and economy in maintenance costs, Linear Induction Motors are used in a vast array of diverse applications and industries.
There are several key advantages of using Linear Induction Motors; as the stator and rotor are not in physical contact there is no frictional wear on the motor system, both stator and rotor are solid state with no internal moving parts which combine to give greatly reduced maintenance costs and a long working life.
Force Engineering has engineered and produced over 30,000 Linear Induction Motors, Linear Synchronous Motors, induction heating equipment, electro-magnets and permanent magnet products for clients across a wide range of industries for more than 30 years.
By continually pushing the boundaries of the physically possible with bespoke designs, Force Engineering has completed hundreds of projects ranging from single electro-magnets for specialist test equipment to mass producing thousands of motors for large baggage handling systems.
As a world leading expert and innovator in the field of Linear Induction Motor (LIM) technology, Force Engineering have been developing and producing novel solutions to meet complex requirements since 1979.
Force Engineering is continually researching and developing new projects both on behalf of our customers and working with some of the most respected pioneers from universities around the world.
This continuing program has been immensely successful and resulted in advances in LIMs and control system technology as verified by the publication of academic papers and granting of patents in the field.
Experienced at analysing and solving problems with third party LIMs and their associated control systems, Force Engineering can also help design systems to replace other electro-magnetic or mechanical systems with bespoke LIMs and the relevant control equipment and software.
Force Engineering has also worked on projects where customers have preferred to utilise their in-house facilities for certain elements of design and manufacture but collaborated with Force Engineering to utilise their knowledge and expertise for the relevant processes.
