ECI events cover cutting-edge developments within Construction and Engineering Construction to improve organisations competitiveness and meet the challenges of world-class project delivery.
Disseminating industry best practice through research evidence and sharing knowledge, they facilitate the dissemination of ECI research outputs and the exchange of expertise and experiences across Construction and Engineering Construction professionals, providing powerful learning opportunities for participants.
The ECI case studies provide an overview of leading construction projects that have demonstrated excellence in their management and delivery.
Reflecting both large and small projects that have been undertaken by ECI members, the case studies describe the value-enhancing practices and innovative approaches utilised, which have been encouraged and implemented by using ECI-ACTIVE.
These have been recognised by the ECI as projects that have achieved significant success, receiving the prestigious ECI Project of the Year Award.
Until recently ECI has focussed its energies on establishing the evidence for its strategies and deliverables through a series of Task Forces.
These have been very productive over the years and ECI wants to acknowledge the considerable effort from many individuals and organisations who have contributed to their success.
However, as part of a new ECI strategy, we are now changing the way that the evidence is gathered as explained in this document.
The aim of the Direction Groups' (DGs) is to champion and promote the ECI charter and its ethos - continual improvement of engineering & construction project performance and delivery by providing strategic direction and impetus for the development of leading edge good practice through the blending of academic research with industry practitioners' expertise, experience and leadership.
Joining ECI gives you the opportunity to become part of a pan-European network of leading organisations from across the Construction and Engineering Construction supply chain spanning a range of sectors and disciplines, from pharmaceuticals to gas and petrochemical engineering, from structural to civil engineering.
You will have access to a range of resources to help improve the way you deliver your projects.
Membership of ECI provides global coverage for all your staff and offices, enabling anyone from your organisation to get involved in ECI events, Task Forces or initiatives, and to access the full set of ECI publications, reports and practice guidance, online and in print.
