Roccio worked for British Coal at both Duckmanton and Bestwood Mines Service Centre, firstly as an Apprentice Electrician before becoming a Quality Control Inspector, Flameproof Equipment Inspector, Electrical Department Foreman and Maintenance Department Foreman.
