Services
Vasanti has been with us for 13 years now and is a resource of knowledge for all things production orientated.
Her role has seen her take on many tasks from initial PCB assembly and soldering through to product testing and inspection.
Vasanti is key for ensuring all items are booked in and out of stock and the picking and packing of customers orders.
She also makes certain that our engineers have all they need in their kits to enable them to complete installations.
Our circuit boards are designed in-house, manufactured locally and populated with surface mount components.
This reduces the strain placed on the connections on the board by the weight of the components, creating a more robust product with a longer service life.
All of our products are specifically designed with the unique stresses of forklift applications in mind, not adapted from other purposes to suit.
Our enclosures are custom-made from strong, tough and UV-stable ABS plastic, and filled with epoxy resin (or 'potted') once the circuitry is inserted.
Our Managing Director, Steve Coley, was already a time-served and experienced engineer when he came up with the original idea for what was later to become the first generation 'Gear Savure'.
While working on an entirely different problem for a customer, he discovered that they were also having regular issues with operators 'hot-shifting' and causing damage to the transmissions on their forklift fleet.
The repairs were expensive, but the lost productivity was even more so.
Through his own research and electronics knowledge, Steve decided on the best solution, obtained work as a forklift engineer in order to test his theory, and soon came up with a prototype controller.
Provided by our partner ID Systems, the OC53 utilises the same housing as the popular OC55 model but has been fitted with Bluetooth communication.
It provides real-time information about the fleet, assisting logistics professionals with managing their operations more effectively.
Drivers can log in via a manual key code (4 digits), or an RFID fob.
The system communicates via Bluetooth to an App.
This App can be downloaded on any Apple iOS 12 or later device and will automatically communicate with the truck when in range (approximate range 100ft) Utilising a Bluetooth connection means that the system is out-of-the-box ready and requires no IT involvement.
Provided by our partner ID Systems, the OC55 has been adopted by some of the largest forklift truck manufacturers, suppliers and users in the world.
It provides real-time information about the fleet, assisting logistics professionals with managing their operations more effectively.
Drivers can log in via a manual key code (4 digits), or an RFID fob.
The system communicates utilising a site own existing WiFi with the cloud based software, providing real-time information, and automatically generated reports and alerts.
