With highly skilled tool room engineers, in house flame cutting and grinding facilities the group is able to make everything required in house except for some specialist hydraulic components.
This ensures that everything is to the highest quality at a competitive price - we do not run our tool room as a profit centre, its purpose to assist the manufacturing sites to operate as efficiently as possible.

The Shield Machining Group has a dedicated Aluminium manufacturing site that employs a range of strategic purchasing policies from all sources including sand, gravity and low & high pressure castings from global strategic partners.
Fosse Way, a new dedicated site covers 100,000 square feet and within the property there are considerable areas for expansion.
The site has the capability to machine products from 0.1 kgs all the way through to 150 kgs oil pans.
Through additional capital expenditure our aluminium machining capacity will increase to maintain our leading position in the market place.
