A Tier 1 Supplier designing, machining and assembling bespoke precision engineering components in Peterborough for almost half a century. Ahmed, with all of his knowledge and experience as well as his personality, will be sorely missed. We were all very sad to see him leave.

Westcombe Engineering, part of Peterborough City Council, has taken on its first student as part of a new partnership with City College Peterborough which aims to enable students with learning difficulties and disabilities to engage with valuable work experience and to gain new skills.Based in Peterborough since 1970, Westcombe Engineering; owned by Peterborough City Council, is proud to be a specialist in the design and manufacture of precision engineered parts.

We have several key customers, one of which is global giant Perkins Engines, a diesel engine manufacturer that we supply and deliver precision machined parts and assemblies to, both locally and globally as a Tier 1 Supplier. Our machined components are supplied to a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Agricultural, Construction, Electronics, Food, Marine, Medical, Fitness Equipment and Pharmaceutical.

Westcombe Engineering, an established precision engineering component specialist, is a business fulfilling the vision of its founder by actively seeking out to employ people with disabilities.
The company was set up in 1970 by the late Royce W. Westcombe, who had a vision of enabling disabled men and women into work, and an unerring dedication to equip disabled workers with the skills and knowledge that would allow them to pursue careers in the wider economy.

Combined, the company boasts over 500 years' worth of collective engineering expertise, with our workers averaging 20 years of service with Westcombe Engineering.

We are pleased to announce that we have achieved transition to the new BSI ISO 9001:2015 standard along with our next 3 years accreditation.
We're very proud to have won the award for Manufacturer of the Year (under 25m) at the recent Made in the Central & East England Awards.
As regional winners, we've been shortlisted for Insider's National Made in the UK awards.
