Design Engineering Workshop are a structural engineering consultancy who specialise in architecture and design-led projects. We engage with individuals, architects, designers, artists & sculptors, developers, companies, retailers, charities, government departments, churches and local authorities on a wide variety of projects from inception to completion.
Our core business is to provide professional services based on the structural design of buildings. This is often complemented with associated civil engineering design and, although a small and focused practice, our wider network of collaborators allows us to accommodate projects of all complexities and scale. As a practice, we are motivated by finding solutions to often tricky problems.
We are analytic and creative engineers and understand that our strengths lie in accommodating challenging architectural design where others would not. We have a varied approach to design and our skill-sets are focused toward structures, with a focus on computational methods for analysing and designing structures.

Design Engineering Workshop are an Approved Body under the SER scheme in Scotland and provide SER Certificates as a matter of course on most of our projects.
Mark is our in-house Approved Certifier.
We have invested significantly in computer hardware and software to allow us to offer our clients the best technology available within the industry.

You should have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a design office and should be confident in the use of both Revit and AutoCAD.
We are in the process of moving to a fully 3D drawing environment with the intention being that every project will be detailed in Revit in future.
