We machine components in a variety of materials from engineering grade plastics and aluminium to stainless steels, titanium and exotics including Duplex and Super Duplex.

Over the years our customers in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector have required our precision engineering ability to problem solve, as a result we have become more involved in the design and manufacture of equipment for production lines, from the handling of the base product through to final packaging.

Shield Engineering manufactures a range of cutters, spacers, shafts and ancillary equipment to suit all types of industrial shredding machines.
Our facilities enable us to re-engineer and re-design waste management machine components.
Our cutters are CNC machined resulting in a more uniform profile giving an even shredding action, they are hardened and the faces are ground to tight tolerances, spacers are manufactured to the same tolerances resulting in an accurate build-up on the shredder shafts.

We offer a complete Design service from component to full tool design utilising the latest CAD/CAM packages from Delcam.
