Bridwey is a fast reaction CNC machining company with a modern precision engineering plant in Dorset, UK. We provide quality well priced precision machined parts and assemblies to all industries. We utilise the latest in 5 axis CNC machining, CNC turning & multi-axis CNC machining equipment for quality cost effective components needed UK wide.

Our CNC machined parts are fitted on Nuclear submarines, they are orbiting Mars and are being used to manufacture medical consumables and equipment, they are stopping oil leaks deep under the sea as well as being raced around Brands Hatch most weekends.We supply Aerospace OEM parts as well as supplying Allied Air Forces with key components and assemblies.

We supply OEM equipment to two major airplane manufacturers via our key customers. We manufacture development and test equipment as well as mechanical handling equipment for a major European aircraft engine manufacturer. We supply all the hardware for a range of military flight simulation equipment along with hardware and spares for fighter pilots G Suits and the machined parts for flight suit environmental controls.
Services
Bridwey started in 1983 when by two engineers one from Bridport (Broadchurch fame), the other a turner from Weymouth left Vickers the local torpedo plant and hired a shed on the Granby Industrial Estate in Weymouth.
They manufactured tooling and small parts for local customers and took on orders from few larger customers.
The core 3 customers from 1983 are still key clients today.
Over the course of 10 years they grew initially into a 3000 sq ft unit and then a 6000 sq ft unit next door.
In 2005 the business was sold to two of the key employees, Matt Honnor and Steve Ward.
Bridwey Precision Manufacturing have recently invested in the latest 5 axis machining & CNC milling centres from Hedelius.
Investment in both Acura 65 & 50 5 axis machining technology allows us to offer a highly efficient supply of complex components fast right throughout the UK.
Complementing our 5 axis machining capabilities we have further invested in an Erowa Robot Leonardo ECU300 loader for 5 axis palletised CNC machining & lights out production.
This further capacity in 5 axis machining allows us to offer even shorter lead times on both complex prototype parts and volume component production.
We utilise the latest in Citizen sliding head machining technology for the volume production of cost effective precision turned parts need throughout the UK.
Our sliding head machining operators have much in-depth experience in producing turned parts needed for a wide range of applications, including high specification challenging markets.
Our modern engineering facility with sliding head machining capacity enables us to offer a rapid response service for companies requiring turned parts UK wide.
We are a well established CNC machinists offering a total subcontract engineering solution under one reliable roof from our facility in Dorset, South West UK.
Bridwey are CNC Machinists that have invested in the latest Hedelius Acura 5 axis milling equipment, Citizen sliding head machining centres and XYZ CNC machining technology which has seen us grow from strength to strength.
