The next step in the evolution of CNC Milling is Automation. Our cutting edge Erowa Automation robots are three of just a handful of these amazing machines currently in the UK. Micro Machining is another area which we have invested heavily in. Together with the Automation cells and our three Erowa robots, Micro Machining is the latest innovation. As mentioned before, Conventional Turning is where a material is clamped into the Milling machine, the material then turns against the cutting tools to create the component.

Sliding Head lathes are used to create small yet highly intricate components. These lathes are particularly good for creating long, thin components to very high accuracy. Marquis Precision Engineering has been providing the highest quality of precision engineering for over 40 years!.

We provide CNC Milling services including 3, 4 and 5 Axis Milling and Micro Machining, CNC Turning, including Conventional and Sliding Head, and we are delighted to say we are at the cutting edge of Milling technology in the UK with our recent 1 million investment in Automation.
Services
At Marquis Precision Engineering we create high quality components to customer requirements in various materials.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, our on-time delivery, our competitiveness and the fact that our customers return to us time after time.

At Marquis Precision Engineering we are proud to be at the cutting edge of technology with the recent 1 million investment in our three Erowa Automation robots.
Currently there are not many of these machines in the UK.
Our Automation service, as the name suggests, allows us to programme into the system various jobs and the machine will run them automatically.
At any one time, we can programme in a number of different components or just one type.
This is good for customers looking to create prototypes or kits of parts, as Automation can make a complete kit in one go.
We have six 3 Axis Milling machines which are used for larger and less demanding components.
However, we are always thinking about reliability and optimising our workflows to make the most of our production line.
We also have six 5 Axis Milling machines, which can be utilised for creating larger components if necessary.
This is done by simply removing the 5 Axis add-ons to the machines to convert them into 3 Axis machines.
This creates flexibility in our machining process, allowing us to move jobs around should we need to and ensuring the same consistency and quality customers expect from us.
Our machines have a very versatile set-up, which reduces the need for several separate configurations during component production.
Our six machines create components along 5 axes at the same time.
This means that very intricate and complex parts can be made efficiently and quickly.
Many of the parts we create through the 5 Axis process end up in use by the aerospace industry.
High speed or 5 Axis Milling is better for finer detailed work and finishes, but fares less well for heavy cuts and metal removal.
Micro Machining is another area which we have invested heavily in.
Together with the Automation cells and our three Erowa robots, Micro Machining is the latest innovation in Milling technology.
Put simply, Micro Machining is the process of milling incredibly fine detail on to intricate parts.
These incredible machines use electric driven spindles with no vibration.
This means these precision cutting tools, some of which are no wider than a hair, can machine incredibly fine detail.
Micro Machining processes are used on components where detail is sometimes only microns thick.
