Services
Meadow was founded in 1993 by Jon Tipler and Rob Phipps.
Based centrally in the town of Oadby in Leicester we are ideally placed with easy access to junction 21 of the M1.
The business quickly established itself as a reliable engineering and tool making service.
In 1997 we purchased our first CNC Machine and CADCAM system.
Since then the company has developed, blending conventional skilled manufacture with modern day CAD CAM design, programming and machining.
We now have multiple CNC Machines and CADCAM seats, as well as highly skilled pattern makers and engineers.
At Meadow we specialise in the design and manufacture of vacuum form tools, models and specialist jigs and fixtures.
With our CNC machining capacity, highly skilled craftsmen, engineering and design department we can provide solutions in a wide variety of materials such as wood, plastics, resins, metals and cast rubber.
We provide services for the automation industry and industrial energy sector.
We are heavily committed to the provision of tooling for the retail packaging and P.O.S trades.
We also generate master models for the rotation and blow moulding industries.
We can assist with material selection and help guide you to achieve your design concept.
CAD models can be animated and viewed as eDrawings, allowing you to share and contemplate product concepts.
We are able to use the generated solid models to CNC machine your ideas into tooling reality.
The brief asked for an inexpensive small takeaway container to house 6 model paint pots after purchase.
We developed a two part clam pack with friction fit features to achieve a semi permanent locking feature.
Typically a prototype tool, used for much finer finishes and more accurate and significant detailing.
Tool that has been prototyped and from the prototype vacuum forming, it has been cast with epoxy resin to create a significantly hardened tool that can be used in production.
Mild Steel and acetal tool.
The blade isn't directly fixed to the plate so as to allow for movement and flexible positioning when trimming.
With such a varied demand for different types of vacuum form tooling, there is no 'one size fits all'.
As you can see the component has been hollowed out to look as if it has been injection moulded.
As there were a very small batch the most cost effective way was to machine them from solid.
We have a range of CNC machines all with the ability to produce 3D models and the capability to work in a variety of materials such as: wood, model board, hard plastics, resin, aluminium and steel.
With machine capacity of up to 2500mm x 1250mm we can cater for most projects.
Our trained programmers are able to work with several CAD/CAM operating systems.
