At Ford Civil Engineering we are able to to carry out all the usual activities associated with a groundworks company.
However, with the pressures to restrict residential development within green belt and the increased use of brownfield sites, the nature of our activities and our capacity to undertake such works has, out of necessity, expanded with far more specialised work now being included.
Blocks of flats with underground parking; specialist foundations; trenchless technologies; the construction of reinforced concrete bridges; adoptable pumping stations; stormwater attenuation systems and complex S278 road works are now far more prevalent and form an integral part of our portfolio.

We can install on site access roads to suit the many different ground conditions that can be encountered, ranging from full depth construction, requiring geotextile and geogrid for added strength in poor ground, to minimum depth construction in good subsoil conditions.
A range of finishes can be supplied and laid, from standard tarmac to SMA, including both coloured and high friction surfacing, as well as block paving in either permeable or standard finish.
We have experience of installing roads to new developments, as well as undertaking major highway works incorporating complex traffic light controlled junctions.
