Boughton Engineering
Introducing Boughton Engineering's established and proven range of hook loaders, skip loaders, close coupled trailers and McNeilus front end loaders. Welcome to Boughton Engineering, Britain's longest established designer and manufacturer of hook loaders, skip loaders and close coupled trailers. Today, Boughton Engineering is part of privately owned Skan Group Holdings Limited, a family concern, committed to the long term and sustainable success of its businesses and its people - and based in the West Midlands.

Boughton's headquarters, main production facility, service and parts operations are in Wolverhampton - and its specialist bespoke engineering and defence products division, Oldbury UK, is co-located on the same site. Its advanced modern fabrication operation is located in North Devon and, as part of its growth and investment strategy, it also currently operates secure satellite vehicle engineering facilities elsewhere.

Founded in 1897, Boughton Engineering has been at the forefront of original innovation, design engineering and development for more than 120 years, manufacturing transport equipment and products, many of which are today still regarded as industry best practice.
Services
The McNeilus Front End Loader returned to the UK market through a strategic partnership between Boughton Engineering and McNeilus, based in the US.
The product is the established niche sector market leader in the United States, for which McNeilus builds over 1000 units a year.
The machine is well liked and proven in service also in other world markets - including the UK, where it was successful previously, with some units still operating after fifteen years in service.
It is regarded widely as the best of its type, not least for its packing system, which improves payload.
Boughton close coupled trailers are designed and built to a premium specification and to both match and optimize operations when used in conjunction with other Boughton equipment.
The current Boughton tri-axle 24,000kg design incorporates a wide range of technical features, including the option for Boughton's Kwikova auto-sheeting system.
Available in trailer lengths of 20' or 22', the Boughton Tri-axle Close coupled trailer can be operated with the Boughton Hookloader to provide a matched combination for operation at up to 44,000kg GTW.
Boughton's Power-Reach skip loader range, introduced in 2013, marked the first comprehensive ground-up design review and whole of concept development programme of the type for a generation.
Boughton also undertook an exhaustive research and development programme, which included wide consultation with industry and operators.
As a result, Power-Reach offers improved functionality, serviceability and safety features, with greater productivity and operational reliability.
The Boughton Intacova, a fully integrated, patented and within width auto-sheeting system, is the option of choice for most Power-Reach applications.
Boughton's new factory stocking and inventory procedures are designed to streamline OE component and parts availability, with target next-day delivery anywhere across the UK mainland.
Boughton customers stand by its product range not least because of its proven track record for longevity and reliability in service.
However, when service support or genuine OE parts are required - be that for routine maintenance, repair of operational damage or a component failure, Boughton has the organisation and systems in place which can respond in a way which gives the customer complete confidence and the knowledge that it will provide a solution with minimum downtime and disruption.
