Services
Industrial refrigeration support services offered cover both refrigeration plant and the insulated structures.
With Lloyds Register of Shipping withdrawing their survey facility for refrigeration installations, users of refrigeration plant no longer have access to an organisation to advise on the construction and operation.
We can provide this service.
Current legislation in respect of the pressure Systems Regulations requires all refrigeration plant installations, where the compressor motor power exceeds 25 kW, that the system has a "Written Scheme of Examination".

We can advise operators of chill and frozen storage facilities on all aspects of their refrigeration requirements and associated insulated structures.

Insulated structures can be thermo graphically scanned to determine the insulation efficiency.
A thermographic scan will also indicate where repairs are required to ensure longevity of the insulated structure.

Chilled water has many applications from essential air conditioning services in hospitals and military establishments to comfort air condition and process cooling.
There is a wide range of equipment available, some constructed to provide chilled water for comfort cooling whilst others are associated with essential chilled water requirements and process cooling.
Process cooling and essential chilled water supplies can not be provided reliably on a 24/7 all year round basis from a water chilling unit constructed for comfort cooling operating only in a cooling season of no more than six months.

Environmental engineering at the extremes of temperature and humidity require specialised knowledge gained over many years of design and application.
These extremes of the environment are required by the pharmaceutical industry, medical and industrial research.
We can advise and engineer refrigeration systems to maintain temperatures down to -80°C for various applications.
We have designed and specified storage and areas maintained at -20°C with relative humidity of less than 10%.
This is almost zero moisture content.

Expert Witness support is provided by Michael Boast, the principal of the company, supported as necessary by other technical experts of the appropriate discipline.
Whilst we are experienced in matters of litigation our first approach is always to try and resolve the problem with a package of remedial work, which the contractor undertakes to achieve the original specification.
Unfortunately it is not always possible to resolve a technical dispute and the services of an expert are required.
Michael Boast is experienced as a "Single Joint Expert" to the Courts and has given evidence in Court on a number of occasions.
