From our West Midlands engineering site, Jenks & Cattell Engineering have presses from 10-1000 tonnes to manufacture mid-high volume stamped metal components, and save our customers 70% on press tooling expenditure. Our Wolverhampton engineering base has two Trumpf laser machines & brake presses, allowing cutting & forming from 0.4mm-20mm thick steel.

Laser fabrication allows our customers to save on tooling investment and develop their metal component from a prototype stage, including low-volume manufacture. Jenks and Cattell Engineering have six robotic welders, to weld our customers metal parts at a higher efficiency rate and improved accuracy, often at a reduced cost to manual welding operations.

Purchasing press tooling from proven Chinese suppliers saves our customers 70% in cost, with all tools being maintained in-house. We can offer lead times as soon as 12 weeks for an off-tool pressed metal component. An impressive range of progression presses, transfer lines and single operation presses, from 10 to 1000 tonnes join our manufacturing facilities for cost effective stamped metal components.

Jenks and Cattell Engineering was formed in 1886 and is one of the longest established metal stamping, laser fabrication and welding companies in the UK, with a skilled workforce of over 100 people.
We have a wealth of manufacturing expertise, with a reputation for consistently producing high quality general and technical metal pressing, welded assembly and laser cut metal parts and fabrications from our 10,000 sqm large UK manufacturing base in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
A complete sheet metal manufacturing service is provided, from laser cutting prototypes for development, right through to production of a complete fabrication or metal assembly, including any surface finishing requirements.
Mike started with Jenks & Cattell in 2020 as a new challenge after 15 years of experience within the competitive world of manufacturing.
Mike aims to ensure we are the number one partner for our current and future customers by supporting them through concept, design and manufacture.
Nick has worked in the engineering industry since the age of 16, starting as a Tool Making Apprentice, later joining Jenks and Cattell in 1997 as a Production Engineer.
He has vast and diverse experience with business communications in the UK, Europe, Turkey and more.
In 2015, Jenks & Cattell Engineering secured a new customer within the engine industry, which is our second OEM engine manufacturer customer within our portfolio, and in turn, increased our annual turnover to 12m, with plans of growth.
The customer was already having a large selection of parts manufactured in the UK, however Jenks & Cattell Engineering offered excellent engineering support which included a reccomendation of different methods of sheet metal manufacturing and handling in order to reduce the piece part cost, and save the customer a substantional amount of expenditure.
Jenks and Cattell Engineering have a target zero philosophy for landfill, defects, variance and accidents to increase our effiiency, quality and general output.
We are committed to developing our suppliers to follow this approach, and also we look to supply sustainable customers in markets including electric vehicles, electric bicycles, energy efficiency and vertical farming.
