We under take new bespoke builds of locomotives and rolling stock, from initial idea to finished product. We use both in house machining and state of the art CNC milling, turning and cutting to produce our products to high standards. CMD ENGINEERING has been built on a passion for miniature railways and the desire to create a range of affordable products for everyone.
It was formed when the owner Chris Dixon wanted his very own locomotive.
The cost was too high so he set about building his own.
The plan was simple, build two locomotives, sell one and the cost of the first would be covered, and so the commercial idea was born.
Since then we have been busy designing new products at affordable prices and we are always adding to them, so that we can offer a complete miniature railway one stop shop.
