Smith Engineering was established in 1991 and have earned a reputation for delivering quality fabrication work at competitive rates across Scotland for a wide range of both commercial and private customers. From our base in Dumbarton, near Glasgow, we are able to undertake all aspects of metal fabrication work in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Services
Primarily our main source of work was within the Scotch whisky industry and in particular with J & B Scotland Ltd, where we gained invaluable experience in dealing with whisky cask racking and general steelwork.
It was decided in 1993 that more effort should be taken to broaden and expand our customer data base; this resulted in contracts being secured with Morrison Construction and the Highland Territorial Army.
After having built up an excellent reputation for providing guaranteed quality and reliable products/services it was decided in 1995 the company profile should be raised.

Our specialist services include fabrication of light to medium steel structures, sheet metal work, welding and pipe work.
We supply precision engineered parts to a wide range of industries including defence, oil industry, medical, food and drink industry and many more.
We have the capacity for large-scale contracts, but we also offer one-off prototypes and small batch production runs to engineering companies throughout the UK.
Smith Engineering are an NQA ISO 9001/2008 accredited contractor involved in the public and private sector's and also within the scotch whisky industry where we supply an extensive service to these customers in Engineering, Sheet Metal Work along with Fabrication and Welding Services in Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Mild Steel.
