The project involved the design of a replacement structural steel deck jetty with runway beams allowing the boat crane hoist to lift boats in and out of the water.
The existing concrete runway structure was starting to fail in areas with visible signs of cracking.
Such Salinger Peters were commissioned to produce a structural design for a replacement steel framed jetty sat on steel circular piles.
The works included site surveys to identify the site constraints, structural design and analysis of the replacement structure, production of steel fabrication drawings, onsite setting out of the piles and site supervision of the scheme.
