Woodley Engineering offers a rare blend of up to the minute CNC machining technology and old fashioned skills. Woodley Engineering (Maidenhead) Ltd is located just outside Maidenhead, in-between Reading, Slough, High Wycombe and Bracknell, specialising in precision engineering and sub-contract CNC machining.

Woodley Engineering (Maidenhead) Ltd provides a 'large company' service, whilst still remaining a relatively small, close knit and controllable enterprise. This enables direct, straightforward contact with our customers and ensures that enquiries or requests for assistance are not lost in a multi-tiered management/comp.
Services
Based just outside Maidenhead in the Thames Valley, Woodley Engineering (Maidenhead) Limited has been trading since 1987, currently employing seven members of staff.
The primary role of the company is precision sub contract machining of components to customer drawings.
This is mainly milling and turning, both Conventional and CNC.
A Fitting/Assembly area supports this, as well as light fabrication, welding and surface grinding facilities.
As a result Woodley Engineering can offer a range of services covering design and drawing, CAD drawing, one-off and medium batch production, prototype manufacture, prototype assembly and equipment repair.
We have two full CNC machines designed for small tomedium batch production runs up to 65mm max bar diameter and a 380mm cutting diameter.
Each has a twelve tool turret, with independently driven tooling enabling milling procedures within the turning cycle and fine work such as engraving.
With a parts catcher and chip conveyor, they are capable of quick and convenient multiple part production.
For faster turn round on one-off items, special threads and longer bar work, our Harrison Alpha gives us the option to carry out highly specialised turning work and can also be programmed for small batch production.

Our Jones and Shipman 1400 Surface Grinder gives us the capability to produce fine sharp edges on hardened steel guillotine blades, to finish work to tolerances of within 1 thousandth of an inch on magentic steel plates and to refurbish damaged surfaces.
