The first Consarc specialty furnace was developed over 50 years ago. Today, over half the vacuum or controlled atmosphere melting furnaces around the globe bear the Consarc name. Consarc is an Inductotherm Group company, a strategic part of one of the world's largest groups developing technologies for the melting and processing of high-performance metals and alloys.

ISO 9001-2015 certified and with operations worldwide, Consarc is well equipped to tackle furnace projects on a global basis. Consarc makes furnaces and related systems for vacuum induction melting (VIM), vacuum arc remelting (VAR), electroslag remelting (ESR), vacuum precision investment casting (VPIC), induction skull melting (ISM), solar silicon melting furnaces, as well as specialty furnaces for proprietary processes.

All these products are distinguished by the flexibility Consarc offers in tailoring designs to customer needs. Electromagnetic Cold Crucible (EMCC) is an innovative process utilizing a segmented water-cooled copper crucible for refractory-free induction melting, while under vacuum or controlled atmosphere.
Services
SERVICE Consarc's capabilities do not end with the design and manufacture of our products.
We also offer our customers the industry's highest level of technical support and service and have extensive experience in installation, repairs and field service engineering.
Offering on-site service teams with decades of experience, each service engineer is professionally trained in all repair, rebuild and preventative maintenance services that your equipment requires.
PROCESS DEVELOPMENT In some industries the heating and melting involves more than just the equipment to perform the act.
Consarc Engineering Ltd, a strategic part of one of the world's largest groups developing technologies for the melting and processing of high performance metals and alloys.
ISO 9001:2015 certified and with operations worldwide, Consarc is well equipped to tackle furnace projects on a global basis.
Our dedication to quality is more than just a word: it is a way of life and working, and an ongoing achievement.
It is Consarc's Quality Policy to achieve customer satisfaction in design and manufacturing by efficiently supplying high quality equipment which fully meets the customer's defined needs.
Smaller VIM furnaces are commonly used to start a company in the business of producing vacuum induction melted materials, or for research and development efforts into new alloys and processes.
A wide variety of configurations are available to match customer requirements.
Wide variety of furnace configurations available; furnaces are custom engineered and designed specifically for individual user's process.
Controls can be provided to customer's specifications, from simple PLC-based terminal to full PC data logging.
Consarc's line of Vacuum Precision Investment Casting (VPIC) furnaces are uniquely designed to ensure the production of repeatable products with minimal maintenance and high furnace availability.
Parts with an Equiax grain structure are easily produced in a VPIC and with the addition of a Mold Heater and Water Cooled Chill Plate, Directionally solidified and Single-Crystal castings are able to produced as well.
Consarc offers many features to ensure the highest productivity including, automatic baffle exchange, liner and billet charging, and an independent liner dump chute.
Consarc electrode exchange ESR furnaces utilise multiple electrodes, one at a time in series, to form a single larger ingot.
Electrode exchange furnaces always utilize two ESR furnace heads, and can be designed to exchange into either a static melt station or a withdrawal melt station that is located between the two heads.
Frequently these furnaces will have one or two "side" melting stations as well, which can allow for higher productivity when melting more standard product in a single electrode to single ingot configuration.
