The company was established in 1975 as DJ Laing (Contracts) Ltd by David and Dorothy Laing, as a civil engineering contractor to local authorities and national house builders.
1989 saw the company diversify into house building.
Today, the next generation are shaping up for the future as the company continues its success, with daughter, Karen Nicoll heading up as Managing Director and son Gary Laing as Quantity Surveyor and Buyer.
David Laing continues to be involved as Chairman and Dorothy Laing as Company Secretary.
