Pewsey Precision Engineering
This engineering business was run for many years from a small unit - Unit G opposite where we are now. A machine shop had been on this site longer than most can remember - at least four owners before the current owner Jerry Ashton. People no longer youngsters would peep in and reminisce about their time in Unit G and the nostalgia of the smell. But in 2016 we were outgrowing the cramped space.

Expanding our CNC capabilities and adding other tooling meant that we needed to move to larger premises - fortunately Unit H in the same estate became available. We simply hired a large fork lift truck and carried everything over to the new unit in the spring of 2017. The new unit provides a good working area for machinery as well as a large welding table and plenty of floor space for fabrication and assembly, should this be required for larger jobs.

Outside the new unit we have a 22kW workplace charge point for electric vehicles and we ensure that recycling is maximised, thus send as little as possible to waste.
Services
We use a variety of stockholders in the South - from Southampton to Bristol and around the UK.
We have good relationships with laser and waterjet cutting companies and local specialist sheet metal fabricators.
We excel at small batch production and rapid production of one-offs and repairs and we provide workshop services for many local businesses.
We can work from an idea, a simple sketch to 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models; we have in house CAD - OneCNC and Solidworks.
We also like a challenge and are prepared to do or make things that many machine shops would walk away from repairing an ancient farm implement or soldering on the leg of a model parrot to bespoke brackets for veteran cars.
Owning the the business since 2014 and machinist, Jerry 'retired' after a varied and successful career in in scientific research, programming and global telecommunications, returning to a more satisfying way of making things for a wide range of interesting customers.
Jerry maintains, tunes and races classic motorcycles and keeps bees as another part of the business.
After a successful career in financial services, Barry spent 10 years working with one of the UK's leading historic racing car restorers and racing his own Lotus single seater before acquiring what is now Pewsey Precision Engineering.
