General & Tube Engineering is a family business set up by Geoff Townshend some 30 years ago.
With his vast experience in engineering, Geoff quickly became a valued contributor to developers of products where his technical knowledge and 'can-do' approach meant that projects were enhanced by the input given.
This tradition has continued and Mark Townshend (Geoff's son) now gives the same service that Geoff became famous for.
The business started from a small unit in Bury and moved to a larger unit in Bury just 12 months after set up. 2 years later and General and Tube Engineering moved to Premises in Swinton (Wardley Industrial Estate).
