Crossen Engineering
The team at Crossen's began working with us in the design phase of our MyWay Walker project. They assisted with DFM analysis and part optimisation, a process that helped limit the amount of adjustments required during tool manufacture. The manufacture of our 15 tools was split between Crossen's own facility and a Far East supplier - a process that Paul, Peter and the team managed to great effect to ensure all the tools were ready on time.

Once all the tools were on site, Crossen's worked closely with us during the sampling process to ensure the parts were to our satisfaction, responding quickly to amendment or adjustment requests. We are now receiving regular deliveries of high quality parts, and are starting to plan our next project with the team at Crossen's. Crossen Engineering was able to facilitate us with the development and also the manufacturing of our new roof light window.

This included plastic parts, mould and press tools and turned and pressed components.
Services
Crossen Engineering are a leading manufacturer in Northern Ireland of custom-made metal and polymer parts.
We provide a full service from component design and prototyping to complete production.
This includes change mould, aluminium tooling and metal pressing techniques for cost effective prototypes ahead of full production.
We also advise on material selection.
Addition services include CNC turning of specialist machined components.
Our expertise is in plastic and metal components.
In Crossen Engineering we have 40 years' engineering experience.
Crossen Engineering offers clients a full range of services from component and tool design, change mould technology and aluminium tooling for short run product development, through tooling and machining.
We can offer a full solution or tailor our services as required.
Using CAD/CAM techniques we have the capability and expertise to design your components in-house here at Crossen Engineering.
This is part of the full range of services we offer our customers.
From design we can then take the product forward into prototyping and production using the most appropriate technology.
Using CAD/CAM techniques we have the capability and expertise to design your components in-house here at Crossen Engineering.
This is part of the full range of services we offer our customers.
We have invested heavily in our design engineering and programming capabilities.
Using Delcam PowerMill, Powershape and VisiCad we can react quickly to customers' requirements with immediate response and component design proposals.
Our application of PES (Production Engineering Standards) drives engineering standards and ensures an even knowledge base throughout the CADCAM design team.
Using our experience and expertise we specialise in the design and development of cost effective prototypes using metal forming solutions which means that our customers can test and evaluate their components before they have to commit to a larger run.
At Crossen we have the expertise and specialist metal forming equipment to form any metal into the shape required.
Tooling will be based on what is required whether it is panels, simple brackets or assembly support components.
The tools we make may be can be blanking, forming or piercing tools but also multi stage production tooling can be designed and manufactured to suit the project requirements.
More and more often customers are asking us can we help them with a cost effective prototype?
Can we shorten lead times to develop a prototype that they can trial, test and then move into production?
And increasingly they then ask can we really use the parts from an aluminium tool rather than a steel tool for an initial production run?.
At Crossen Engineering we offer our customers prototype aluminium injection mould tooling.
This means we can create a mould tool that allows us to get low volume fully parts out to trial quickly.
