D. Gilmour Engineering is a small, family run business established in 1969. We have been in our own premises for the past 8 years. Originally we just specialized in gearbox repairs, but over the years have diversified into an engineering company which offers a dedicated and professional service to our customers. Although specializing in the repair of car and van manual gearboxes we also have an engineering workshop.
In the present financial climate salvage engineering has become a cost effective way of prolonging the life of items. With our engineering background we can turn our hand to almost any engineering querie i.e turning, welding, drilling, milling, plasma cutting, bead blasting, sawing, surface grinding and polishing. We have a 60 ton press and would consider 1 off engineering jobs - no job is too small.
