Based in Ryedale, North Yorkshire we have carried out numerous projects for Yorkshire Water, Councils, Government Departments and private clients including property developers and major distribution depots. We are approved vehicular access contractors for North Yorkshire County Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
We have undertaken infrastructure contracts for caravans, log cabin parks and large warehouses, as well as complete civils packages including topsoil stripping, foul and surface drainage, installation of pumping stations, kerbing and surfacing.

Dobsons Civil Engineering & Construction was established in 1973 by S. Dobson and J.C. Dobson as Civil Engineering Contractors.
We have laid in excess of 500km of water and sewage pumping main, and been involved in many and varied projects as Main Contractor.
Dobsons currently occupy the above purpose built premises, Derwentside Works on York Road Industrial Park which covers a 1.1 acre site including secured plant yard, materials compound, car and commercial vehicle parks, offices, workshop and storage building.

During the 1990s the removal, conditioning and ultimate disposal of cake (a waste product of water treatment) became an important part of our business, together with general civil engineering projects.
Our main client in this area of work is Yorkshire Water for whom we have handled in excess of 750,000 tonnes to date.
This includes clean and dirty water cake from 9 sites in North Yorkshire.
We are currently working for Yorkshire Water on contracts running into 2008.
