Specialist contractors in all water based engineering: a wide range of clients already trust our expertise in construction and management in often demanding conditions. Based in the South West and operating throughout the UK, Castleford Engineering specialise in water based civil engineering including hydro electric schemes, fish passes, weir repair, river bank stabilisation etc.
We provide a comprehensive civil-engineering service, assisting you from the earliest stages of a project through to its completion and handover. We recognise the sensitive nature of the environments in which these works are undertaken and the constraints these conditions impose so work closely with the Environment Agency, local planners, and rivers trusts to achieve the best results for the client as well as the environment.
In 2007 Castleford Engineering in association with hydro electric specialists, GP Electronics, installed the first Archimedean Screw turbine in the UK. The highly efficient and environmentally friendly turbine was installed at the River Dart Country Park, in Devon.
