Newnham Engineering Ltd is a privately owned British company which was established in 1967 by Reginald Newnham. We provide a precision manufacturing service to a wide range of industries. We are located on the south coast in a modern self contained factory with good on-site parking and loading facilities on Lancing Business Park, West Sussex.
Our service and quality is something we are very proud of, and this coupled with very competitive prices and lead times is what sets us apart from the rest and keeps us true to our motto of "machining excellence".Here at Newnham Engineering we have a very low turnover of staff and several of our current staff have been here for 30 years plus. We have put a number of apprentices through college and will willingly do so for the right candidates.

It provides a precision manufacturing service to a wide range of industries.
In 1972 Eric Newnham took over as Managing Director, as Reginald Newnham sadly passed away.
At this time the company resided in a rented 1500 sq/ft unit in Southdown View Road industrial estate, Worthing.
Eric soon took the company forward and after securing some large production contracts, managed to afford to buy a larger unit, 3000 sq/ft, in Ivy Arch Road industrial estate, Worthing.

Over the years Newnham Engineering have invested in the latest 5 axis machining technology for the manufacture of highly complex, precision components from a diverse range of materials from exotic alloys to aluminium, brass and plastics.

We have 13 CNC Machine Centres of varying different sizes, this enables us to machine a wide range of materials to exact customer specification.
Batch sizes can be manufactured from single components to many thousands with fast turnaround on quotations and delivery.

We have the capacity to machine most materials including all grades of metal and plastics.
All turned parts are manufactured to the highest quality standards with fast turnaround on both quotations and machining.
We offer the production of components from 2mm diameter - 900mm diameter X 2.3m and in batch sizes from 'one off' prototypes to higher volume batches.

We bought out a specialist wire erosion company and also purchased an additional machine.
The main advantage of EDM wire erosion is the consistent accuracy, this is achieved by spooling a special brass alloy wire though a pair of guides and applying an electrical current.
A typical application for EDM wire erosion would be producing an internal key way in a through bore.
