Metric Engineers Ltd is a sub contract engineering company which has been established in the Bolton area for over 50 years. Whilst specialising in medium to heavy turning, with a maximum diameter of 2 metres and a maximum length of 4.87 metres, the company offers a precision engineering service in conventional turning, milling, drilling etc. with a craneage facility of up to 10 tonnes.
The company also undertakes the manufacture of special purpose machinery together with jigs, fixtures and tooling largely for the aerospace industry. A further speciality is the manufacture of compression moulds of up to 2.15 metres in diameter for the rubber seal industry.
