We offer front end design for manufacture (DFM) of the cast parts through feasibility, redesign, simulation, tooling considerations and final sample support to ensure best cost and delivery times are met. Large complex mould tools for volume production. We can manufacture up to 12.5 Tons for die cast machines up to 2500T using top quality heat treated tool steels.

Dies and core boxes for challenging new products are our speciality. Complete tooling cells can be specified and manufactured alongside the machines and ancillary equipment. We have the experience and traditional crafts in all areas of die casting for a cross section of industry from Automotive - on and off road, Agriculture/Construction, Electrical, Oil and Gas, Leisure and lifestyle.
Our design team advise and help design tooling solutions to the highest standards to an economical cost, whilst meeting customer demands.
HCM operate a 5 year training apprenticeship scheme in partnership with our local training providers and colleges.
The HCM design team engage at an early phase within the customer component design process to add value to ensure the product is capable within the production environment.
Using latest 3D CAD/CAM software and years of experience we make sure new products are designed on time and on cost for rapid product introduction by assisting the customer during this phase.
Magmasoft is used in conjunction with our design engineers to ensure tools are proven and simulated to enable right first time parts to be produced.
We design and manufacture large complex high pressure die cast mould tools for the volume automotive sectors.
We can manufacture tooling up to 12.5 Tons in weight using top quality heat treated tool steels.
We specialise in the material subtraction process using a variety of CNC machines up to 3 meters in length to enable large complex steel tooling inserts to be accomodated.
At HCM we provide a "plug and play" tooling solution.
We design to suit our customer needs and machine specifications to allow the right first time tool sampling which saves time and cost during the development phase.
We design all the tooling for the low pressure process, Dies, Core Boxes, Machines & Fixtures.
This enables HCM to be the one stop solution for the complete cell to reduce lead times and cost.
Any change requests during the design/developement is then optimised as all under one roof.
The Low Pressure process enables the component to have complex internal cast shapes to form chambers.
The mould filling properties of low pressure die casting make it suitable for thin-wall, large surface parts, with high yields as runners and riser are excluded.
We have the experience and history in this process to design and manufacture the complete die casting cell.
A die tool, along with the machine for manipulating the tool plus any relevant core box equipement can be supplied.
3D printed parts can now be incorporated into tooling to help control the casting process and enable advanced high performance tooling out pace conventional tools.
Extending die life is key to customers as it dilutes the cost of the tooling by allowing far more castings to be made from the capital investment.
