A & B Engineering was established in 2000 and is a South-East based engineering and sheet metal company that specialise in the manufacture and supply of a wide variety of bespoke metalwork to the Audio Visual Industry. Our two company directors have over 40 years engineering experience between them, of which 20 years has been spent working in the AV industry.
In that time we have built up a large customer base which includes some of the market leading AV companies in the UK. We provide quality custom built products manufactured to your specification within a timescale that suits you. Our main expertise lies in the manufacture of bespoke AV connection panels for a wide range of uses including floor box, wall mount and 19 rack mount.
We supply the complete finished product fully engraved and populated with the required connections ready for installation. We can even design the layout using the latest AutoCAD software so there is no need to supply us with a drawing, as we can send you a pdf copy of the design for your approval.

We are often asked 'When can I have my plates?' to which we reply: 'When do you want them?' We don't like to tell you when you can have your job, we prefer you to tell us.

Most metal components can be powder-coated but if the consultant insists on the speakers matching the existing colour scheme then we can help.

The following is small selection of the products that we are capable of producing in any quantity and in practically any finish.
Any custom plate can be supplied complete with connectors and a back box if required.
Our standard finish is brushed stainless steel as it requires no finishing and is extremely durable.
If necessary we can match the finish of the existing plates and if space in the floor box is an issue our zig zag style plate combined with the right connector can eradicate that problem.

Fourteen of these were manufactured and then installed as charging stations in an international airport.
This design has since been adapted and the new stations became interactive media/information points.
We are currently coming to the end of a long running project where we were the supplier of thousands of individually numbered LUL approved stainless steel equipment and asset labels for the London Underground.
The item shown below was for the same organisation.
