I looked all over the Midlands and could not find anywhere that could skim the drums with the wheels complete with tyres ect, Terry did it no problem well worth the journey.

Stotfold Engineering began in 1967 by my father Terry Ives, who had previously been the top tool maker and design engineer in the government training centre in Letchworth.
We started in the engineering industry by making tooling for the specialised rivet industry, work progressed into the printing and packaging industry in the 70s and 80s.
Having accumulated machinery through the years we diversed into the heavy fabrication of crane parts at home and abroad.

I always had a love for art since my childhood and school days.
Through out my engineering career I have always observed the colour and texture of the waste materials that are produced while manufacturing parts for customers.
For example when some metals are turned on a lathe they turn electric blue.
Bronze and brass can turn blue green.
