Barking engineering (The Forge), located in Suffolk, was originally a village forge which opened over 500 years ago. During the 1960's The Forge was closed, for several years, before re-opening as a small general engineering business, specialising in gates, railings, staircases and fire-places. I started working at The Forge at the age of 16, working as an apprentice (1978), until taking over as the owner in 1993.

We also manufacture railings, ballustradeing and balconies.
