We are a long established general engineering company in Boston, Lincolnshire. Our services include general and structural fabrications, MIG & TIG welding (including site welding), machining, pressing/folding, shot-blasting and powder coating. We can work with and supply mild steel, bright steel, corten, aluminium, stainless steel, brass, copper, cast iron, nylon and plastisol.

We also sell engineering products through our retail stores. Our core engineering activities are built upon providing our customers with a quick and reliable service. A high proportion of "breakdown" work is carried out same day enabling our customers to reduce costly plant downtime and quickly return to full operation. With over 3000 square feet of usable floor space and a high roof clearance, our main workshop can cope with large fabrication work or plant/vehicle repairs.

Previous work has ranged from fabricating large universal beams destined for a power station in Siberia to a fully stainless steel state-of-the-art waste water treatment plant.
Services
Established in the mid 1940's by engineers Alfred Nicholas and Jack Craven, Craven & Nicholas (Engineering) Ltd was incorporated in 1948 as a general engineering company.
The company soon established itself as one of South Lincolnshire's leading engineering firms and supplier of agricultural steel frame buildings and structural steelwork.
Among the many notable construction projects was the original footbridge over the river Witham and the Boston United football stand.
In the 1950's Craven & Nicholas developed the CravNic needle sorting machine which specialises in removing unwanted beans and pulses contaminated with insect and weevil holes.
