I have worked in the gas industry for over 40 years having spent 26 years at British Gas, followed by a short spell with Worcester Bosch before setting up Appleton Heating in 1999. At British Gas I had reached the level of service technician, with the responsibility of tackling repairs other engineers could not complete. I still get engineers ringing me for help and advice.
I have run Appleton Heating successfully as a sole proprietor specialising in German boilers until my son, Mike, joined me as an apprentice in 2011. We now work in partnership, getting most of our work from repeat business and personal recommendation based on the quality of our work. Outside of work I enjoy walking and I am on the hunt for a BMW motorbike, finances and wife permitting!
I have been married for thirty five years and have two sons. I have been working in the gas industry for just over 5 years. My father spent 3 years training me whilst I attended Trafford Technical college to achieve my qualifications in gas utilisation.
