Precision Sub-Contract engineers Established in 1928 specialising in the machining of automotive components specialist fastenings and lifting equipment.
During the 1940s we manufactured various components for the Rolls-Royce Merlin and Griffon engines, production for the aero industry continued after the war mostly using cam auto machines at this period of time we shortly realized that we needed to move with the times and invest in new technology.
By 1951 we had outgrown our original factory in Whitney on Wye which led to us moving to the Centre of Hay-On-Wye.

At TS Henderson Precision engineers we currently run ten fixed head turning centers all fitted with magazine bar feed systems This ensures productivity is maximised at all points of the operation.
Capable of running full lights out production 24 hours per day 7 days a week holding tolerances of 10 microns or less.
Our CNC turning centers can be programmed using CAD CAM software speeding up set up and machining time of complex components.
Our machines are equipped with high pressure coolant reducing machine downtime and operator input, we accommodate for one off low and high volume production runs.

We currently have 6 advanced 3 axis CNC milling machines our experienced CNC milling machine operators are always finding a way to produce the highest quality precision milled components for you.
Our CNC milling machines can be programmed using CAD CAM software speeding up set up and machining time of complex components.
With the addition of through-spindle high pressure coolant (70 Bar) we are able to drill small diameter, deep holes in hard to machine materials.
We currently have 6 advanced 3 axis CNC milling machines our experienced CNC milling machine operators are always finding a way to produce the highest quality precision milled components for you.
Our CNC milling machines can be programmed using CAD CAM software speeding up set up and machining time of complex components.

Sliding Head Turning enables the machining of the secondary process on the rear spindle whilst the next component is being made on the main spindle.
This can often result in cycle times being half what they would have been on a traditional Fixed Head CNC machine.
The Star machines are designed to run unmanned for sustained periods allowing us to run them 24 hours a day 7 days a week on suitable components, ideal for components in large batches.
The SR-32J provides speed and versatility a perfect solution for high volume production runs.
This can often result in cycle times being half what they would have been on a traditional Fixed Head CNC machine.
The Star machines are designed to run unmanned for sustained periods allowing us to run them 24 hours a day 7 days a week on suitable components, ideal for components in large batches.

At T S Henderson we have a range of conventional Turn/Milling machines to complete small batch production, ss well as manufacturing one off specialist items jigs fixtures.
This can include Shafts repaired or made new ie; bearing diameters or keyways (Metric, English, Woodruff, Gibhead).
We have also recently invested in a slotting/broaching machine allowing us to cut keyways in hard to machine materials.
