Orwell Engineering Ltd was established as a family owned business in 1964. In its infancy Orwell worked closely with Pilkington Glass, manufacturing and developing equipment for use in the hot end of float glass production. Principally in the bath area.
Since then Orwell has grown and expanded its customer base to become a world leading supplier of equipment to the float glass industry across the whole process line, and in addition as a general engineering company we manufacture equipment for the waste water, nuclear and food processing industries.In 2008 Orwell Engineering Ltd moved to our current premises in Liverpool and changed our name to Orwell Engineering Solutions Ltd where we are based over two sites within easy access of rail, motorways and airports.
We currently have in excess of 40 employees and managers across all disciplines of engineering. Our main site contains our offices, and a 25,000 sq.ft workshop housing our small fabrication workshop, sheet metal workshop, machine shop and small assembly workshop.
